Mary and I would like to say Thank you to all of you who attended the benefit event at Cosmic Pizza. It's hard to express how much it means to us to have so many friends come out and support us.
We would also like to express our gratitude to all of those who donated Online and by mail.
We thank all of you who donated funds to help us pay some of our expenses and get caught up on things financial as we move through this experience
with my illness which, with your continued help through positive thoughts and prayers, we will beat.
The fight is not over though. We still need your help. Of course any financial support is welcome but as we move into spring we need help with our home. We need some folks to donate some time to come over and work on our yard. Things are getting way out of hand and it is quickly becoming overgrown.
We can't afford to pay anyone to work in our yard but we are hoping that maybe we can get some of you to donate your time and labor to help. Maybe we can get a bunch of people together on a specific day or weekend and get things taken care of quickly of even iof there is someone out there who can come by repeatedly to help with yard work.
If you are interested in helping with our yard project please contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com We appreciate your support.
I've been pretty out of it for several weeks and as I write this I am actually feeling better than I have in quite some time. I got some good news today about my feeding situation. I have been on a feeding tube since September of 2012. That means I have not had anything to eat that I can swallow completely since that time. I can't even get water down.
I have what is called a J tube which feeds directly into my intestine and I have to wear this feeding bag pretty much 24/7. It's been in so long that is wearing out so this week I'm having it replaced. The good news is that next week they are going to put in what is called G tube which goes directly into my stomach. What that means is that I can feed myself three times a day and I do not have to be on the bag 24/7. It will add some level of comfort to my lifestyle and hopefully alleviate some of the discomfort from the J tube.
Yes it's true I still can't eat regularly but it's a step in a positive direction which should help with my mood which should help with my attitude and healing.
I'm sorry I don't have more positive news to report about the disease itself right now but that will come.
Blessings to all of you and than you for your support.
